• Reliant Bandsaw DD90

  I have this bandsaw and need to get the upper wheel sliding bracket assembly with the wheel shaft and hinge. I have a manual, but with no place to get parts it doesn't do a lot of good to have part numbers.

  I checked another site and they suggested the Grizzly Tool website www.grizzly.com and I looked at the model G0555 since it is a 1HP model and the parts breakdowns look almost identical, so I ordered some parts from it. I will post the results of the compatability.

  I ordered the upper wheel sliding bracket, upper wheel shaft hinge assembly, and knob for the Grizzly model G0555 band saw and they fit my DD90 Reliant band saw. I did have to file the casting marks off of the sliding bracket for it to slide smooth. The arm on the shaft hinge assembly is better made than the Reliant one. The casting is heavier. This is the part that broke on my saw. From reading other posts on the woodworking websites, being better than the origional isn't a great compliment if the original is a Reliant. However, I a really glad to get my bandsaw back. I was afraid that it was bound for the scrap yard because I couldn't find some parts. It is running good dead centered on the tires. I don't know if anyone else had the problem with the top cover catching on the tensioning arm. I had to grind a groove for the arm on the upper shaft hinge to lower it. It may not be the top of the line, but I am definately glad to have my bandsaw back.
