5.7 HOW TO CONFIGURE ROUTING PATH TO GROUP CALL SERVICE
A group call is a call intended for a particular group of DVX-7090 Router subscribers. When
a group call comes, telephone sets of all the group members start ringing simultaneously.
When one of the group members answers the call, all other telephones stop ringing.
Suppose the administrator has assigned the Group call service key sequence 444. To make a
group call, the caller is expected to:
Dial into the DVX-7090 Router
Dial the DISA number and get the dial tone
Dial Group call service number 444 and get RBT
When outside the system
Wait till one of the group extensions answers
To configure a Group call rule, do the following:
1. Click
to access the routing table page.
2. Click
to invoke the rule configuration form
3. In the text box Route name of the add-new-route dialog replace the default name Route
#... entering a descriptive name to your liking, for example Call whoever answers.
4. Select the option Service in the combo box Command
5. Select Group call from the drop-down list of service names of the combo box Argument.
6. The source number being of no importance here, leave the edit boxes on the line Source
unchanged. Enter the Group call service destination number 444 in the edit box Match
on the Destination row of edit boxes.
7. If necessary, click on the Activity Schedule form and enter time restrictions for
the service accessibility.
10. Click
to add the rule to the routing table.
11. Click
in the column and select a target group for Group calls in
the appearing pop-up menu.
