I received a brand new B&D Cordless drill from a friend who's husband had died. This drill has never been used. It's still in the box. However, it will not charge. Has it reached a point where the battery inside is just dead from sitting on a shelf for however long? Is it still rechargable or does it need something else done with it? I have no idea how long ago it was purchased. Thank you.

0 I have also the same as your cordless drill, and it can be charged in 5 volts charger since it has a capacity of 4.8 volts. however if it wont charge in 2 hours you must replace the 4 rechargeable batteries inside
