5 The follwing applies to B&D, D720 2(mechanical)-speed Drill. 1)put the chuck key on the chuck 2)select the 1st gear of the drill to have resistance. 3) hold the drill with the chuck facing towards to you(like you will drill yourself) 4)hit the chukc key with a hammer to counterclockwise direction to unscrew the chuck from the drill. 5)after the chuck has been released continue with your hand always turning counterclockwise and be carefull the chuck is heavy.
