When I put the sand paper circle on the rubber disc and screw it, the screw doesn't pull the cup style washer deep enough to go below level of the sand paper. Worried that the metal washer will gouge the wood. Does the drill just grab the short screw. Doesn't seem to be long enough to grip properly....1/4' compared tho 2-5 inches if it's a drill bit.
