5 This is a bit late, but I just dug out my father's B&D 7447 when my other Belt Sander failed. At first, I couldn't figure out how ro change the belt, but it appears this is the way: 1. place the back of the sander on a bench or other solid surface and push backward on the front roller uniil it latches. 2. Slide off the old belt and slide a new one over the front and back rollers, 3. Unscrew the tracking turn screw until the front roller disengages and pops forward. 4. turn the tracking turn screw in until it is close to where it was, then readjust the belt tracking. My sander has no lever to assist in this process, maybe it had one in the past. I hope Dad didn't pay a lot of money for this cheap sander.
