Question About Black & Decker Saw 9411 Type 1
need a manual...

same problem as the other fellow, blades keep slipping off the wheels. Seems the metal for the wheels is flimsey and doesnt hold them straight.

6 Just got a 9411 at garage sale. No manual. Bought new band saw. Put band saw over drive belt and made sure saw was towards back side of wheels and adjusted tension on belt as shown on inside cover. Worked OK after that.

5 You must have rubber tires on all bandsaw wheels. I bought mine new and have used it for many years. Go to Dewalt supplier for rubber bands and a manual. Rubber breaks down from age and needs to be replaced every 2 -3 years and depending on use.

3 No that is the drive belt so it has to be there to pull the blade. Seems to be off the back wheel or even the top. Thats why I need a manual to see how to adjust the thing right.

0 I have a differnt B&D band saw, but similar design- the bottom wheel is supposed to have a rubber ring (tire) on it to help keep the blade on track (part # 48 in 9411 parts diagram- could it be missing?

0 Make sure the flat washer under the spring on the top blade adjustment knob is almost at the bottom mark. Blade should be almost in center of top wheel after that. If you need a new belt (mine stretched out) it is a DeWalt 137667-00 at eReplacementparts.com or go to Sears Parts Direct.

0 Make sure the rubber tire band is in place on all pulleys. Use the tensioning screws to adjust where the blade runs.. center on pulley by useing Hex screws and thumb knobs. Buy the rubber pulley bands from Dewalt parts supplier.
