5 115 volt installations is green to ground, white to neutral, black to hot, red wire is capped off and not used.....220volt is green to ground black L1 to hot, red L2 to hot, white capped off and not used...hope this helped you

0 I have a 40388 Chicago Electric stick welder with no electrical plug attached. I simply need to know the wiring diagram to install the plug
