I recently took my compressor apart because it was not going over 40PSI. I think the problem was the formed compression ring that sits between the connecting rod and the connecting rod assy. As I was disassembling it I did not note if the formed compression ring was placed down towards the piston or up towards the head. The the compression ring is radiused on on side and it appears that it can go up or down, Thanks, K
