When plugged in, motor "HUMS" and trips circuit breaker, unless I turn fly wheel by hand (dangerous). As soon as the wheel is moved by hand the compressor runs fine. It no longer shuts off automatically at predetermined PSI. I unplug to stop.

5 Look on top of motor. There should be a hump on the motor itself. This should be the start cap. it will have two wires attached to it . Look on the side and get the same uf. from a electrical supply house and replace. This helps the electrical motor start by giving it a little jolt when the power is applied. Lee
