I have a Craftsman nail finisher 351-18314 16 ga....

I have a Craftsman nail finisher 351-18314 16 ga. it shoots 3/4 to 2" It shoots the nails and then the plunger sticks out that pushes the nail in. Any idea what is wrong with it?
