I have a Craftsman Planer 351.217430. The drive sprocket for the roller broke. I have learned this is a common problem with several Craftsman Planers with the same sprocket and Craftsman no longer sells replacement sprockets. Does anyone know anywhere else that I might be able to buy a sprocket for this machine? The part number is 03853.00. (part numbers 3853 and 18337.00 are also compatible, and no longer carried by Craftsman or Sears)

0 I found a Grizzly brand planer with a compatible part, tried it, and it works/fits fine. The Grizzly part number is P0689155 at grizzly.com.

0 Part number P0689155 is no longer available, however part number P0689062 is. The price is $2 thru grizzly.com. I have ordered this part to repair my broken sproket, but have not received it yet. On a side not I removed one of the roller sprockets and installed it on to the  roller drive sproket shaft. It fit perfectly, so I believe part number P068962 will work, but I will have to wait and see. I believe the grizzly planer is a replica of the craftsman planer with most parts being interchangeable.
