I have a compressor pump 1594 12504 that was my grandfathers. There is a metal circular ring that looks like it is held down at the bottom by a cast hook and then circles the camshaft. It has come loose and looks slightly out of round. First is what I have described the correct placement for this ring? And I'm assuming if I can get it back into round it should work as it was designed to do correct? Jeff
