The hex srew to remove the drill chuck is stripped, how do I remove the chuck

1 burn a piece of hard plastic and let it melt while its hot stick it on the hex screw let it cool than loosen it

0 The Jaws are stuck in the open position and not able to release jaws to remove the chuck and the hex srew is stripped
