3 I found a schematic of the drill on http://www.ereplacementparts.com/, but I couldn't find one for the gear system itself. It looks like they do sell the whole transmission, though. I would look there, hope this helps.

0 having problem to remove the chuck from my dc988 drill.. I did remove the screw from the inside of the chuck...is the chuck screwd on??? if yes is it LH thread ???please help.Also how do I replace the clutch, due to slippage...Thanks george
