I have DeWalt DWP352VS belt sander which requires a new drive belt (on order). However, the internal side guard has become out. To refix I think I need to take apart the tool, which I don't want to do. Will it still work without the side guard, (a thin, 1'4" piece of metal with a screw hole in the centre)?

0 Unfortunately it doesn't say whether is ok to use without the guard!
