My model 50-6RX-G requires that I spin it to get it going. I assume the starting switch has failed. Is there source for a replacement satrting switch? The bell housing on that end of the unit is reluctant to come off. Is there a trick to getting it off?

0 Working on the same grinder myself, trying to fix the same problem. The bell housings include the bearing journals so they take a bit of persuasion. I've had the most success using a putty knife to split the seam/dislodge them and then tapping them away using a long screwdriver through the opposite vent holes. You can reach across the grinder front-to-back and land the punch/screwdriver on the opposing screw boss.

If you had success fixing the spin-start, let me know.
