Question About Harbor Freight Tools Air Compressor 40400
Compressor won't start...

I was testing my paint gun with just air then I turned it off. I tried to turn it back on but it wouldn't start. It just makes a humming noise for a few seconds then shuts off completely. I press the resetbutton but the same thing happens help

0 When ever I restart the compressor it starts but runs only about 20seconds before it trips again. If I put my finger over the inlet/suction filter it starts. Lately that's been the only way I usually get it to start. It started doing this on day one of purchase.
