Question About Harbor Freight Tools Air Compressor 40400
pressure variation...

I have never used a compressor before. I just bought a Central Pneumatic 40400. I wonder if the compressor will retain a steady pressure of about 90 psi for use with the Boschtich floor stappler. Does the motor slow down or shut off at a specific pressure set by the pressure regulator?

3 I have owned this air compressor for several years and it has worked fine for me (except for a recent pressure switch problem which is solved). It will not maintain a steady pressure for extended periods of time without tool not using air for a short period of time. You can set the pressure and it workes well with staplers, just not in a continuous use. Hope this helps.
