Question About Harbor Freight Tools Drill 44836
Unknown Part...

I found this item in the box when I was assembling my drill press. Having never owned one before, and shop class was soooo long ago. I was wondering what the heck it was for? I hope the picture helps. I couldn't find anything like it in the owners manual. Thanks

5 Just bought the same drill, noticed the same thing. It's not mentioned in the manual, but it appears to be a tool used to take the chuck spindle out of the friction fitting if you needed to change it. If you extend the drill press all the way downwards, you'll notice a slot in the side where you can insert the narrow end of the part in question and use a hammer to knock it to eject the chuck.
