0 I own one of these nailers for my flooring business. It calls for 15.5guage staples. Stanly Bostich #1512 (1.5 inch long) or #1516(2 inch long) for attaching hardwood flooring. The larger the guage number the thinner the staple or nail. I did a bamboo floor last year and used 1.5 inch long staples. I have not used cleats yet with my nailer. Also your psi should be between 60 and 70 to make sure the staple is flush in the tounge. Hope this helps. John
