I plug in my compressor and turn it on it builds up about 10LBS of pressure in the tank and will not build up anymore. I have made sure the valve on the bottom is closed tight what could be the reason for the lack of pressure build up in the tank? and how can fix the problem

1 It sounds like your pressure switch is faulty. Either that or your safety check valve is faulty. After you make sure your belt is ok, check to make sure you can't hear any leaks, if not definatly pull off the pressure switch. Condensation will gum it up over time. You can break it down and clean it, but take note of how tight it is when you take it off. The other problem you may have is a faulty safety pressure switch. If thats the case, replace it. When you have it apart check the compressor and the compressor air lines for cracks and leaks. Good luck and hopefully this helps.

1 Where do you get parts for this. I have the same problem. That "3 finger valve" is broken. I can easily replace it. but where do you get it at. Home depot says from husky.com, but husky.com sends me back to homedepot.com
