I have an Ingersol Rand SSR-EPE200 compressor that...

I have an Ingersol Rand SSR-EPE200 compressor that keeps shutting down for high air-end temperature at 228 degrees. In my operators instruction manual it shows 245 degrees for shutdown. Does anyone know for sure? Do I have a compressor problem or a faulty temp switch?
