did i burn it up? I don't smell anything, but it is putting out no voltage at the clamp...If I put it on a good battery, it does not indicate at all.

5 On the Napa 85-437 charger. I just purchased one as is, and when I got it home it didn't work either. So rather than take it back, I looked inside ( 8 screws) and noted that all of the connections are slider clips. So a wiggled them all then when I put it back together, It was working. Checking the voltage with no load at 12V showed 7 or so volts. But when attached to a battery it went to 13.8 or more as it should. At the non automatic setting the voltage for the 6v output was about 7 volts. Slider connections that have been sitting around not being used for a while can easily 'disconnect' so a little cleaning or wiggling can get them back up and running sometimes. I hope some of you find that helpful.
