1 Frrom the manual

Green LED lights indicate batteries are charging:
The green LED light corresponding to each battery pocket in use will turn on to indicate batteries are charging. The lights will turn off when batteries are charged to peak power. When charging is complete, remove the batteries from the charger. Unplug the charger when not in use.

Flashing LED lights indicate a fault:
– The batteries may be inserted improperly; reload the batteries.
– The batteries are damaged or are not NiMH or NiCD; discontinue charging these batteries.
– The charger temperature is outside the operating range; unplug the charger and restart charging when temperature is within the optimal range of 40º – 100º F.
