Bought a pawn shop and cannot get a blade to stay ...

Bought a pawn shop and cannot get a blade to stay in. Paid $70 for it and I do not have the manual and I need to know which blade goes in it and I also see that this one has been discontinued. Any explanation as to why? Thank you.
