Air is escaping from what seems to be an escape hole located in the center of the cooling fins surrounding the air piston?? Is there any way to fix this...or do I just buy something else?

5 The problem is not that. The problem is the check valve on the pancake tank that the hose attaches to. If the check valve isn't working, air then bleeds out of the tank back into the compressor and out that pinhole relief. You can try tapping on the check valve, or replace it for about $14.

0 If you hear air leaking inside the plastic housing, try tapping the check valve before you tear the housing apart. If that does not work, then remove the check valve and "exercise" the plastic pin. I also put a little graphite on the pin.
