PCMVC LED indicates normal charge for approximately 5 minutes then changes to fast blink indicating bad battery for any battery placed in charger including those known to be in good condition Visual inspection of solder joints shows no faults. Diodes test OK and electrolytic capacitors LOOK OK. Could someone please direct me to the troublesome component(s) or to a source for the schematic or service info. Thanks in advance.

0 I called Porter Cable Customer Service at the number listed in the product Owner's Manual and was very well served by a helpful agent. Our battery charging problems are solved. Would still like to find which component(s) are faulty in the old charger. Am hoping the problem is in the surface mount devices on the trace side of the PCB. Otherwise, I've overlooked something obvious. Thanks to the agent who was so helpful and who represented the brand well. And thanks in advance to anyone who can tell me how that circuit works.
