Having had a number of bandsaws in the past I see no need for the tension release lever on my 14" Powermatic. TWICE now I've stripped that long threaded adjusting screw and am getting dang tired of ordering them. MUST one use the tension release lever on this machine to keep from stripping the screw? It's kinda counter-intuitive to me. Also, while I'm complaining, new Carter guides do NOT help the blade tracking and the freaking tension handle assembly BROKE at the pivot point. Sheesh, I've had more problems with this saw than with any other. Perhaps a quiet trip to the DUMP will fix these little problems.
