The depth adjustment ring on my r161 ryobi router. How can i loosen it?

0 can not raise or lower bit in router how do i do it

0 Think of the adjujstment ring as a simple nut that is jammed. I used a piece of wood and a hammer and simply tapped it in the correct direction. Look at the threads. you will be able to tell which way to tap the ring. Not too hard. it takes very little force.

0 Yes it did come loose and sure do thank you ,do i line the top and bottom measurnig rings up so i can tell how high or low i am going ...Again thanks

0 I have same problem with adjustment jammed up. shouldn't have to beat on brand new unit.already disappointed with this product!!!!!!
