I have a Makita 3620 router and am unable to use the adapter plate - the screw holes do not line up. In the "Mounting the Router" section I see a NOTE: that says i should remove my router's base plate and use the universal clamping system. Then the directions for the universal clamping system say I must use the adapter plate, but that's the problem - the adapter plate does not fit my router's base (or base plate). Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
