My compressor seems to lock up or single faze when stating at around 100 psi

5 Your pressure relief valve is stuck. it removes the tank pressure frome the compressor during startup. Prs rel valv PART NUMBER: KK-5020 No longer available. from http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Craftsman-Parts/Air-compressor-Parts/Model-919175960/0247/0703000/00062689/00001 BUT, if you are handy, release all pressure and it usually can be unstuck. It is not the safety valve, there is another part on the discharge tube of the comp.. Tap gently. or remove and clean. If you remember the hiss that most comp. make when they shutdown, this is that valve, we called them "unloaders". If you are not handy, don't try it.
