after being on the chatger for many hours my interstate deep cell batteries flash yellow/ O thought that the charger would move to green indicating that the battery is charged. I spoke to one sears salesman who said his batteries never say charged but are fully charged when he tests them under load. Is this correct? I thought I couod use voltmeter to check the batteries, he said they could show 13.5 volts and still be no good. Any help would be appreciated.

5 I called the Sears helpline at 1-800-732-7764. Help line person said that the LED blinks yellow when the charger is in "Desulfation mode". She said takes up to 24 hours. If doesn't go steady yellow and charge after that, try battery you know takes a charge to test it. The manual neglects to mention that light blinks yellow during this. Also says process might take up to "8" hours. Says battery may become "sulfated" if left discharged for extended time. My battery was new and not used for 5 years
