Blade Changes
To remove the blade:
1. Unplug the bandsaw from the power
source!
2. Remove the bandsaw from the work stand.
3. Release tension on the blade by turning the
tension control handle to “loose” (Figure 9).
4. Turn the bandsaw over and unscrew the
Phillips head screws to remove the back
cover.
7. Place one end of the new blade over the
drive pulley of the bandsaw (Figure 11).
Always disconnect
power to the machine
when changing blades.
Failure to do this may
result in serious person-
al injury.

Wear gloves and safety goggles when han-
dling blades. Coiled blades spring open as
they are uncoiled and could cause deep
punctures or lacerations.
5. Remove the outer blade guide bearings by
removing the cap screws shown in Figure
10.
6. Open the wheel covers and slide the blade
off one wheel at a time. Use caution — the
blade is sharp!

8. Feed the other end of the blade around the
idle pulley and roll the blade onto the track.
9. Make sure the back of the blade is in contact
with the guide bearings that support the back
of the blade (Figure 12).
