The depth gauges (or "rakers")
of
the chain cutter should be checked every third or
fourth chain sharpening and lowered
if
found to be too high.
To
do this, place the guide on the gauge
as
shown in the figure and turn the guide
until the wheel point fits into the ap-
propriate depth gauge slot in the gauge.
Hang the gauge on the chain and push
the gauge against the guide bar.
Place
the guide on the gauge and switch on
the tool. Move the tool left and right to
grind away excess height
of
the depth
gauge.
