Maintenance
To avoid damage, dirt should be removed using a soft, dry cloth. Using a moistened
cloth may cause malfunctions. Also, do not wipe with alcohol, thinner, benzine or
cleansers which may damage the product's plastic housing. Periodically wipe off the
positive and negative terminals of the charger and batteries with a dry cloth. Dirt build-
up may prevent the battery from being charged.
When using the charger in foreign countries, you may need a plug converter to fit the
shape of power outlets. Ask your travel agent about plug converters before traveling.
Do not use a voltage transformer with the charger. This may cause the charger to
break.

Information regarding rechargeable batteries
This battery is exclusively for use with Olympus digital cameras.
Before use, check your camera manual to ensure that the LI-10B is compatible
with your camera. Never use the charger in combination with other equipment.
Using a brand-new battery
Batteries lose energy when not in use, so be sure to charge a brand-new one
before using it. Also recharge a battery if it has not been used for a long time.
Temperature
Use the battery in the same temperature range that its camera should be used in.
Not doing this may cause lower power and shorter battery life.
It is normal for battery power to change sometimes even within this temperature
range. Since battery power tends to diminish in low temperatures, you should
keep your battery warm (such as in a pocket) before use.
* When keeping the battery in your pocket, be sure that there is nothing metal (such as key
rings) inside that may cause a short circuit.
Storage
Do not leave a battery in a camera or the charger while they are not in use. A
small amount of electric current is still let out by the battery, which may reduce its
power. When not using the battery for a long time, remove it from its device and
store it in a dry cool place.
When storing, do not let the and terminals touch each other. Otherwise
they may short-circuit and cause overheating, burns or injury.
Battery life
As your battery becomes older, its life span after recharging may become
shorter. If this happens, buy a new battery.
Recycling
Please recycle LI-10B batteries to help save our planet's resources. When you throw
away dead batteries, be sure to cover their and terminals and always observe
local laws and regulations.
For customers in Germany
Throw away batteries in battery recycling containers provided where you buy batteries.
Olympus has a contact with the GRS in Germany to ensure environmentally friendly
disposal. Before throwing away lithium batteries that still have some charge, take steps
to prevent short circuits (put duct tape on battery terminals, etc.).
