2. When servicing a tool, use only identical replacement parts. Follow
instructions in the Maintenance Section of this manual. Use of
unauthorized parts or failure to follow Maintenance Instructions may create a
risk of electric shock or injury.
SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES AND SYMBOLS
1. Only use sockets rated for IMPACT DUTY. Other types sockets might
shatter, endangering operator and bystanders.
2. Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an
operation where the cutting tool may contact hidden wiring or its own
cord. Contact with a “live” wire will make metal parts of the tool “live” and
shock the operator.
3. There are certain applications for which this tool was designed.
Porter-Cable strongly recommends that this tool NOT be modified and/or
used for any application other than for which it was designed. If you have any
questions relative to its application DO NOT use the tool until you have
written Porter-Cable and we have advised you.
