WARNING:
Exercise caution when using the orbital jig saw. Care-
less actions, for even a fraction of a second, can result
in serious personal injury.
Before using the orbital jig saw, familiarize yourself with all
operating features and safety requirements. However, do
not let familiarity with the tool make you careless.
This new orbital jig saw is equipped with the following
features. See Figure 1.
TOOLLESS BLADE CLAMP
Your saw has a blade clamp design that does not require
the use of a tool (blade wrench) when installing or removing
the blade. Simply lift blade clamp lock / release lever,
located on front of saw, insert blade between blade clamp
and saw bar as far as possible, then release lever to lock
position.
BLADE SELECTION
To obtain the best performance from your saw it is important
to select a specific blade for the particular application and
type of material you wish to cut. By doing this you will get
a smoother, faster cut and prolong blade life. Replacement
blades for this saw are available from your nearest Ryobi
dealer. Ryobi recommends the use of T-shank style blades.
If U-shank style blades are used, they should be high quality
hardened steel.
