Symptom Possible Cause Solution
Fluid gets hot, power unit
working hard.
Open-center tool on closed-center
circuit.
Tool designed for open-center
hydraulic system.
Too much uid going through tool. Adjust ow for 9 gpm/34 lpm maxi-
mum.
Circuit generating high heat with ow
controls, open relief valve, etc.
Use pump and rpm for producing
needed ow only.
Circuit contaminants caused pump
and valve wear, and high heat opera-
tion.
Contact your authorized Stanley dis-
tributor for pump and valve replace-
ment. Install large clean lter and keep
circuit uid clean.
Grinding wheel comes to abrupt
stop after release of trigger.
Porting spool incorrectly installed. Contact your authorized Stanley dis-
tributor.
Mechanical failure. Contact your authorized Stanley dis-
tributor.
* Grinding wheel should rotate CCW when viewed from the shaft end.
