Problems with the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF-S9)
Documents Are Not Scanning
Cause 1: ADF power not on
Solution:
Ensure that the ADF option cable is correctly connected to the AC adapter and
that the power cord is plugged into a functioning electrical outlet. (See p. 38)
Cause 2: ADF connector cable not attached
Solution: Connect the ADF connector cable to the option cable as specified. (See p. 41)
Cause 3: [Document Feeder] not selected in ScanGear CS-S or [Automatic Document
Feeder] not selected in Plug-in Module CS-S
Solution:
Select [Document Feeder] in ScanGear CS-S or [Automatic Document Feeder] in
Plug-in Module CS-S. (See p. 46)
Cause 4: Document(s) incorrectly placed in ADF
Solution: Reposition the document(s) correctly. (See p. 44)
Cause 5: ADF cover not closed properly
Solution: Close the ADF cover completely.
Cause 6: Paper jam
Solution: Clear the paper jam. (See p. 49)
Frequent Misfeeds
Cause 1: Paper dust accumulated on separator or separator damaged
Solution: Clean the separator. (See p. 58)
