Chapter 4 Using Optional Equipment
This section describes useful functions of the printer driver.
Staple
The Staple feature is available on printers with an optional finisher installed. If a booklet
stitcher unit is installed, the Booklet Printing feature is available. For further details, refer to
Booklet Printing on page 102.
After installation, optional equipment must be selected by the printer driver (device settings).
For further details, refer to Installing Optional Devices on page 30.
Printed documents can be stapled in the positions shown below.
Using the

The properties boxes described here may differ from those for your printer.
NOTE
Staple and Offset features cannot be used simultaneously.
Upper Left Upper Right Booklet
NOTE
When the paper size is A4, B5, or Letter, the Orientation must be set to Rotated in
order to staple the
upper-right corner. For further details, see the explanation on
page 50 in step 8 in the Basic Printing Tasks section.
