Avoid charging or storing your battery in temperatures
below 0ºC and above 40ºC.
Changing a blade
Caution. Always ensure that the saw is switched off
and unplugged from the power supply before installing
or removing a blade. Make sure that the blade protector
is fitted to the blade to protect your hands and fingers
against the sharp teeth.
Removing a blade.
1. Loosen the Allen screw,
by inserting the allen key
provided and turning it anti-
clockwise. This screw clamps
the blade so that the blade can
be lifted off the retaining pin.
2. Remove the blade from the
saw.
Fitting a blade
3. Position the hole in the blade over the retaining pin.
4. Tighten the allen key by inserting the allen key and
turning it clockwise to clamp the blade in position.
5. Remove the blade protector.
Operation
Switching on and off and controlling the speed.
1. The multisaw has a variable speed trigger switch, the
harder it is squeezed the
faster the saw will operate.
2. This gives the operator
better control when
starting a cut and at break
through, and enables the
speed of cutting to be
varied according to the
circumstances.
3. To switch on, rotate or roll the Lock-off switch (2) to
release the trigger switch, then pull the trigger on.
4. To switch off, release the trigger switch.
General cutting and pruning
(230 & 239 mm blades)
1. Hold the saw firmly with
both hands in front and
clearly away from you.
2. Make sure that the blade is
clear of any obstructions.
3. Ensure that the material to
be cut is held firmly. Small
work pieces should be held in a vice or clamped to the
workbench.
4. Mark out the cutting line.
5. To switch on, rotate or roll the Lock-off switch to release
the trigger switch, then pull the trigger on.
6. Wait until the saw has reached maximum speed.
7. Begin sawing using the same forward and backward
movement you would use with a hand saw.
Note. Use only enough pressure to keep the saw cutting.
Do not force the cutting; allow the blade and the saw to
do the work.
Warning. Use of excessive pressure that causes bending or
twisting of the blade may cause the blade to break.
Warning. Make sure that the blade does not touch the
work piece until the blade has reached maximum speed
since this could cause loss of control and serious injury.
Metal cutting
(200 mm blade)
Metals such as sheet steel,
pipe, aluminium, brass and
copper can be cut with your
saw. Be careful not to bend
or twist the blade and do not
force the cutting action.
