The four settings for the orbital action of
the blade are controlled by a lever switch.
The effect of the settings is shown in
Figure 5. When set on Position III the
blade oscillates forward in the stroke,
which is helpful when cutting wood or soft
materials. The Position 0 setting eliminates
all forward oscillation and the blade strokes

straight up and down. This is good for
materials with a strong cutting resistance
such as metals and where a very clean cut
edge is desired.
Changes in the orbital movement can be
made with the motor turned on.
