OPERATIONS
Operating this equipment has the
potential for flying debris to cause eye
injury. Always wear safety glasses or
goggles when operating equipment.
Everyday glasses or reading glasses
only have impact resistant lenses, they
are not safety glasses. Be certain the
safety glasses you wear meet the
appropriate standards of the American
National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Like all power tools, there is danger
associated with the Model H0604.
Accidents are frequently caused by
lack of familiarity or failure to pay
attention. Use this tool with respect
and caution to lessen the possibility of
operator injury. If normal safety pre-
cautions are overlooked or ignored,
serious personal injury may occur.
Inserting and Removing Bits
UNPLUG TOOL WHEN CHANGING BITS
1. Push the silver spindle lock button on
the side of the cutter and turn silver
collet with fingers until the lock
engages.
2. Use the supplied wrench to loosen
the silver collet while continuing to
push the spindle lock button.
3. Slide the desired bit into the collet as
far as possible without covering the
bit’s cutting edge.
4. With the spindle lock button still
pressed, tighten the collet with the
supplied wrench until securely seat-
ed. Do not over tighten.
Operating the cutting tool
1. With appropriate bit in place, turn
power switch on and slowly engage
bit into or against the material to be
cut. Do not turn power on while the bit
is resting against surface to be cut.
2. If at any time during the cut the blade
stalls or stops abruptly, turn power off
immediately and wait for blade to
come to rest before removing from
material.
3. Do not make a blind cut into a wall
without first determining if there are
hazards behind the material to be
cut. Check behind walls for wires,
other electrical hazards, or plumbing.
4. Make sure to use the appropriate bit
for the specified cutting task.
