Work Piece and Work Area Set Up
This Texture Paint Spray Gun is 1.
meant for spraying heavy viscos-
ity products like rubberized decking
materials, texture coatings for interior
and exterior walls, heavy water proof-
ing materials, and the like. It is not
recommended for regular wall paint
or thin coatings of any type. While
these products can be used with this
Spray Gun, the results would not be
satisfactory, or even in coverage.
Designate a work area that is clean 2.
and well-lit. The work area must not
allow access by children or pets to
prevent injury and distraction.
Route the air hose along a safe route 3.
to reach the work area without creat-
ing a tripping hazard or exposing the
air hose to possible damage. The air
hose must be long enough to reach
the work area with enough extra
length to allow free movement while
working.
There must not be utility lines or 4.
foreign objects nearby while working
that may present a hazard.
General Operating Instructions
Attach the Plastic Hopper (20) to the 1.
top of the Gun Body (03) and tighten
the Hopper Clip (21) until the Plastic
Hopper is held securely in place.
Have an assistant pour the Texture 2.
Paint mix into the top of the Plastic
Hopper lling no more than 3/4 full.
Turn on the air compressor and set 3.
the air regulator between 25 and 90
PSI.
Using two hands, one to steady the 4.
Plastic Hopper and the other to oper-
ate the Texture Paint Spray Gun, aim
the Spray Gun Nozzle at the surface
to be covered. NOTE: It may take a
few times to mix the proper spray
solution. Do not ll the Plastic
Hopper until you have achieved
the viscosity you need for each
job.
Squeeze the Gun Trigger (14) and 5.
move the Texture Paint Spray Gun
in a back and forth motion, releasing
the Gun Trigger at the end of each
sweep.
If the product you are attempting to 6.
spray either sputters, or stops spray-
ing, small adjustments in product
control may be made using the Fluid
Control Knob (8F), thinning the prod-
uct batch you are working with, or us-
ing a larger nozzle. NOTE: Nozzles
can be interchanged by un-thread-
ing the Nozzle attached to the
Spray Gun Body and threading on
a different sized Nozzle.
CAUTION:7. Do not stop for extended
periods when spraying. Most of the
products you are using are fast-dry
materials and will start to set-up and
dry as soon as they come in contact
with the air. If you need to discon-
tinue spraying for more than half an
hour, turn off the air supply, discon-
nect the Plastic Hopper from the Gun
Body and thoroughly rinse the Plastic
Hopper and Gun Body with fresh,
clear, water. The products you are
using can set-up quickly and if not
cleared from your equipment may
render that equipment unusable.
