2. Press on the center of the longest
span on each belt with moderate
nger pressure (4-4.5 lb.). Then
measure the deection distance, the
distance that the belt moved. The
belt should deect anywhere from
1/4” to 1/2”.
Engine Mounting Bolts
3. If the belts deect too much,
tighten belts by loosening the en-
gine mounting bolts and moving the
engine away from the other pulley
slightly. Secure engine mounting
bolts and retest tension. If either belt
is too long to be properly tensioned,
both belts must be replaced.
If the belts deect too little,4. loosen
belts by loosening the engine mount-
ing bolts and moving the engine
towards the other pulley very slightly.
Secure engine mounting bolts and
retest tension.
Align pump and engine pulleys using 5.

vibration.
Before use, replace belt cover.6.
