7-6. Changing Fuel Filter

Y Stop engine and let cool.
1 Fuel Shutoff Valve
2 Fuel Line
3 Fuel Filter
To replace filter, close valve and re-
move clamps and filter. Install new
filter and clamps. Inspect line and
replace if cracked or worn. Wipe up
any spilled fuel. Open valve.
Start engine and check for leaks.
Y Stop engine, tighten connec-
tions as necessary, and wipe
up spilled fuel.
Close door.

7-7. Inspecting And Cleaning Optional Spark Arrestor Muffler

Y Stop engine and let cool.
1 Spark Arrestor Muffler
2 Cleanout Plug
Remove plug and remove any dirt
covering cleanout hole.
3 Exhaust Pipe
Start engine and run at idle speed to
blow out cleanout hole. If nothing
blows out of hole, briefly cover end
of exhaust pipe with fireproof
material.
Y Stop engine and let cool.
Reinstall cleanout plug.
