GENERAL
DESCRIPTION
This device is to terminate operation of an 8" to 12" reciprocating type
air motor in the event of a ruptured outlet hose or the pump runs out of
media. For compressed air use only.
Operating Pressure Range 30 Ć 120 p.s.i. (2.1 Ć 8.3 bar)...
Temperature Range 0_ to 180_F (Ć18_ to 82_C).........
OPERATION
The AROĆSTOP control valve senses an increased volumeof air to the
pump, beyond the preadjusted setting, and shuts off the air supply to
the pump.The runaway"condition maybe causedby anyof thefollowĆ
ing: 1.) depleted pump material, 2.) a ruptured line on the outlet of the
pump, 3.) excessive cavitation in the material supply.
INSTALLATION
The AROĆSTOP valve should beinstalled in a filtered and regulated air
line. The Filter & Regulator should be no smaller than an Aro HeavyĆ
Duty series. Upstream plumbing from the AROĆSTOP should be 3/4"
minimum. The 3/4" swivel furnished with the AROĆSTOP is to be
installed on the inlet of the AROĆSTOP to facilitate easy adjustment.
Install the outlet of the AROĆSTOP on the inlet of pump motor. InstallaĆ
tion of AROĆSTOP asillustrated isrecommended.UseoneAROĆSTOP
for each pump. See typical installation photo.
