Information regarding rechargeable batteries
This charger is exclusively for use with Olympus CAMEDIA digital cameras.
Never use in combination with other equipment.
1 Discharging
● Batteries self-discharge while they are not in use. Be sure to charge them
regularly before use.
2 Battery life
● Charging and discharging are possible for approximately. 300 times depending
on their use.
3 Operating temperature
● Batteries are chemical products. Battery efficiency may change for a time even
within the recommended temperature range, but this is not a malfunction.
Note:
New batteries or batteries that have not been used for a long time (more than one
month) may not be fully charged. This is not a malfunction, but is a characteristic of the
battery. Charge them two or three times before using them for the first time or
when they have not been used for a long period.
● When you dispose of dead batteries always observe the laws and regulations
regarding the disposable of such items.
● If NiMH rechargeable batteries are not fully discharged, protect against short-
circuiting (e.g. by taping the contacts) before disposing.

Olympus has a contract with the GRS (Joint Battery Disposal Association) in
Germany to ensure environmentally friendly disposal.
