Fitting the helical spring
j Insert the narrower end of the helical spring

into the opening
of the multifunctional holder

. Ensure that the outwardly bent
end of the helix points upwards and insert it into the recess provid-
ed for it in the multifunctional holder

(see arrow in Fig. C).
j Push the helical spring

into the opening as far as it will go.
j Turn the helical spring

clockwise to fix the multifunctional
holder

in place.

Inserting / replacing soldering tips
CAUTION! DANGER OF BURNS! Allow the soldering
pencil to heat up without a soldering tip.
1. Insert a soldering tip

into the soldering pencil

to a depth of
half of its shaft length.
2. Tighten the clamp screw

using a Phillips screwdriver.
j Remove the soldering tip only when the device has been switched
off and the soldering tip

has cooled.
